God's Math

"Faith cometh by hearing; hearing the word of God." God is the teacher; we are the illustrator.

Question: How can just one person ... sharing his faith ... make a difference in such an evil world?
Answer: By understanding God's math!
Example: Assume there are six billion people in the world.
Approach 1: Provide the world's greatest evangelist with an audience of 1,000 different people every day of the year until he has preached one time to all six billion people.

How long would it take? 16,500 years!

Approach 2: Assume there is only one Christian in the world... and it takes six months for him to lead one other person to Christ. Then in the next six months, those two would lead two more to Christ. By doubling each six months... how long would it take to convert six billion people?

Less than 17 years!!

Jesus is the author, provider and goal of missions.
*Keep the salvation of individuals as focus (recognize opportunities to touch. Jesus see the need of forgiveness from a prostitute, the need of healing from a Leprosy ... who specifically needs my attention? Do we know? Do we care? People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care!)
*Do not allow ourselves to get embroided in the religious contraversies (Get heart right. They care less about the differences. Nobody has different opinion on love, grace, mercy, faith, ... etc. Those are the core, what's Jesus about)
*Pray for open heart. Expect rejection. Keep going.
*Don't forget Christ is your source!
